How Do Apprenticeships work?

Apprenticeships attract capable young people into your company and equips them with a broad range of transferable skills, giving you a more responsive workforce.

Did you know . . . . .
  • Apprenticeships are fully funded for all 16-18 year olds and partially funded for all other ages, regardless of race, gender or disability.
  • You may already have one or more employees who fulfil the criteria and have the potential to achieve an Apprenticeship.
  • Apprentices follow a structured Individual Learning Plan, agreed by Employer, Apprentices and Training Provider.
  • Day release is generally required to enable the Apprentice to achieve an underpinning knowledge and understanding required (but not always necessary).
  • Apprenticeships generally take between 15-24 months (depending on their subject). Apprentices are encouraged to progress onto the Advanced Apprenticeship wherever possible.
  • Advanced Apprenticeships generally take between 2-4 years (depending on their subject).
TS2000 Ltd have a recruitment and selection process which helps us to match Employment / Apprenticeship opportunities.

Below are the mandatory requirements for each sector we deliver in:- The Apprenticeships can be delivered around the needs and requirements of the individual learner and their employer. Where possible Apprentices will have a day release where they will attend TS2000 training centre to work towards the Technical part of their framework. Apprentices will also attend workshops at TS2000 to work towards Key Skills if necessary. They will have an individual assessor who will visit them in the workplace to support them and deliver the other components of the framework. On occasions Engineering learners may attend a local college for their day release (to work towards their Technical Certificate), this will be a college that TS2000 have assessed and will monitor to ensure quality. If Apprentices are unable to have day release, TS2000 will visit them more regularly in the workplace to deliver the framework.
